This photo of a Chicken of the Woods is illuminated by the sun's rays piercing through the dense canopy above. This moment is captured in an infrared monotone photograph, which highlights the delicate textures of the mushroom and the surrounding moss. The stark contrast between the deep blacks and pure whites emphasizes the interconnectedness of all life in the forest, showcasing its fragile yet resilient ecosystem.
